Keystone Korner, 1970

Keystone Korner, in San Francisco, was a jazz and blues club in the late 60’s till1983. It apparently moved to Baltimore in the 80’s, which seems weird. I was only 18 at the time this photo was taken so would not have been allowed in to listen. There is some disinformation online that the club didn’t open till 1972. I didn’t time travel to the future 2 years when I took this photo, so I’m convinced it opened in the 60’s. On the bill when I took this photo ( on a very cheap camera and scanned in to an iMac) is Boz Scaggs and Benny Cecil and the Snakes (couldn’t find anything online about Benny on multiple search engines).

Dumbo

There was some sort of a commercial film shoot going on in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Quite an entourage of catering and equipment trucks. The Audi was parked on the set, but I have no idea how it may fit in with the shoot. I guess it was more interesting to look at than the hordes of people on the set milling about, seemingly doing nothing other than talking and eating.

South Park Bridge Opening

As you can see below, the bridge guard rail still had the shrink-wrap attached. I guess that is proof the bridge is new :-). I’m not sure how the spaceman in the car fits into the scheme of things, but that is part of the charm of South Park.IMG_0150 SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Look Back Thursday: SF Cable Cars 1970

The seemingly timeless cable cars traversing the hills of San Francisco. In the first image I was inclined to drop the VW bug out of the photo, but in reality it is the point of reference in terms of the year. So…….part of it stays.IMG_0002 - Version 2-001 IMG_0007 - Version 2-001
