Rule of Thirds

I’m not much of a fan of rules….well, there you are.
Park Slope, Brooklyn
Taken a few years ago while I was visiting with my son and family. On the eve of the 10th anniversary of this photoblog I thought I would look back for a moment. This is a morning shot, with some fog in the background. The sidewalks were designed in another era, where there were fewer cars and more pedestrians.
November 6th & 7th.
Our son’s book will be released Tuesday, November 6th. It’s available on Amazon.
Wednesday evening he’ll be at the Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn for a conversation and signing event with Tobias Carroll at 7:30PM. I’ve read the book and it is amazing and makes sense of the seemingly chaotic and random history of rock n roll. Laced with interviews and more, it’s a real page turner for music buffs and musicians alike.
If you live in or near Brooklyn, stop by and say hello. I live in Seattle, otherwise I would be going. Ian is very approachable and has my self deprecating sense of humor.
PS: I took the back cover photo and the one you see on the bookstore page, via the link above.
Fall in Prospect Park
Taken a few of years ago. A view of Fall from Prospect Park in Brooklyn, a few blocks from where our son lives.
Old Coffee Warehouse
The old coffee warehouse in DUMBO, on the East River, has been repurposed by the West Elm Company. Here is a link to a video showing the conversion.

Where are You?
In todays world it seems easy to connect/reconnect. Saw this guy texting on the cobblestone streets of DUMBO, in Brooklyn. After a few minutes of standing alone the gentleman was reconnected with his companion.
