Finding Warmer Climes
While the temp outside hangs around 28 degrees I thought I needed to be reminded of a warmer place and time. These two images were shot at a California Mission, probably Camino Real or Mission Soledad.

Duwamish Reflection
There has been a layer of fog over Seattle for days. I thought I should post something to remind me of what blue sky looks like. The Duwamish River at high tide is nearly glassy in appearance. The building reflected is a Boeing property, one of few remaining in this section of Seattle known in Boeing-speak as Plant II. Although I am retired from Boeing I have no idea just what takes place in this building. In my day there were some secure sites within Plant II, but I think most of that was in relation to work Boeing did on the stealth aircraft in the 1990’s.

After the Digging
The day after the digging up of this section of Alberta St. the road was repaved, sealing whatever history in for the foreseeable future.

Breakout!
This cat actually pushed out the window screen from the attic room. Once out, as with most felines, he realized he only had a breakout plan and had not thought through what to do after the breakout. He paced around the roof, meowing in distress at his predicament for a few minutes. A squirrel tempted the cat to jump into a tree on the other side of the roof peak to add to the drama. The owner poked her head out the escape window and was trying to call the cat back, with little luck for some time. Finally, the cat did come close enough to the window for the women to grab by the scruff and haul him inside the house.
