Mid-Town Manhattan on a Saturday afternoon. A fair or something has attracted this large number of people.

Local public school that has a playground. During the summer months, while school is out, it is a nice place to play.

After I put the socks on Madeleine thought she ought to double check just to make sure grandpa didn’t mess up the color scheme of the socks.

A line up of shoes my granddaughter wears. On the right a view of her fashion sense. Her favorite colors are blue and green. Oh, the blue sock HAS to be on the right foot.
Before I post some of the images I took in Portland last week I thought I would share this one of our granddaughter. She is a great subject to shoot.
Our grandaughter, Madeleine, standing behind a large lens on the playground set at Lincoln Park, near our home. This image, on one level, looks like a very old photo or painting hanging on a wall. Well, maybe my imagination is getting the better of me? What do you see?
Chest high in Tulips. Our granddaughter, Madeleine, exploring a patch of tulips in the Sabin area of NE Portland.

Madeleine reaching.
This morning I attended the funeral of a childhood acquaintance. In an attempt to move my thoughts, from the sadness of that loss to the future, I thought I would post this photo of our granddaughter, Madeleine. Viewing life from the perspective of a child, looking forward with great promise, helps shift my thoughts from the past/present to the future.
