I’ve always been fascinated by this building in the Georgetown neighborhood of South Seattle. Also, the two old street lamps add something to the ambience. One day I will have to talk my way into the building just to have a look/see.
The Columbia Tower, on the left, and Smith Tower on right, at dusk. I was quite a distance from the subjects, but used a 70mm-200mm lens. Still lacking some detail I was hoping for.
Scanned from a 35mm print taken in 1970; just below Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill, San Francisco, is the Garfied School. In the far background you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. The other two images show the Garfield School today, officially named Garfield Elementary School. Adjacent to the school you can see a two-tiered outdoor playground (with students playing) for the students.
Alberta Rexall Drugs: the building is now a cafe with apartments upstairs and a tattoo shop adjacent to the cafe. Glad they have left the neon sign, a reminder of the past.
Spotted in the Hollywood section of SE Portland, OR. Taken with my iPhone 4S, so quality is not quite there. The two ‘windows’ on the second floor are not real windows, but paintings of windows. Curious.
