Water and Rocks
A small section of the fountain in Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
Rockefeller Center
Not really an iconic view of this most famous tourist spot. It has been nearly four years since I took this photo and I always cringe a little every time I look at and think about the woman staring back at me; I feel like I got busted or something. Of all of the people moving about this space, she was the only one ( and the closest to me ) who spotted me and what I was doing. I should have asked her if she minded being in the photo, but….In profile, she looks much like someone I worked with many years ago. So, on a couple of levels this image has some weird mojo attached to it. I would really like to think she is a spy posing as a tourist, but that could be just my imagination working overtime.
Milestone: 1500th Posting on Bluestar2012!
This is my 1,500th posting on this blog. In Feb. 2008 I had no idea where I was going with this blog or if I had the discipline to keep it going for this length of time. So, befitting this moment I thought I would post a ‘self-portrait’ of myself ( in shadow form to maintain some sense of anonymity ) as well as a rainbow, which is symbolic of hope, possibility and perhaps a touch of magic.
Thanks to all of you who have supported this blog by checking in from time to time to see what is going on here. I had less than modest goals when I started posting and I’m really gratified by the response over these 1,500 postings. I’ve purposely let the images I post speak for themselves, with little or no narrative from me. Photography is a personal experience between the image and viewer. I see no point in interjecting my ‘experience’ between you and the image.
Dream large.
Water Sculpture (#2)

More views of the water sculpture in Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill. If they enlarge I encourage you to do so by clicking on each image ( I cannot tell if they will enlarge until after I have finished the posting. I presume it is a WordPress quirk. )
