I have been following the progress of the new 14th St. Bridge from the start of the demo. Thought I would post something fairly recent to mark the progress. I have a few images from this past week, but they are still on the chip in the camera.

Like the extra-large hinges and pulls.
Yellows and reds seem to dominate the images today, on Mother’s Day. A nice gesture to a mother would be a good thing to consider today. My mom wanted a ride to the local hardware/garden store today so she was easy to please. She now has a new wine barrel to replace an old one to plant in. There was an unadvertised sale on this item. She would have jumped for joy, but I think her jumping days are behind her.
Two views of small cacti in the Conservatory at Volunteer Park.
Discovered this clock on the side of a building on First Hill, Seattle. Reminded me of the clocks from the 60’s that my parents had in our house.
The entryway of the SAAM- Seattle Asian Art Museum-has a strong art deco flavor. This facility is part of SAM- Seattle Art Museum-, but located in Volunteer Park. I think it’s collection is permanent with few changes over the years. I just loved the art deco touch.
