Part II: Located in County Roscommon, Ireland, Strokestown Manor is also the location of the National Famine Museum in Ireland. Beautiful grounds and lots of history.
Different color Connemara Marble was used for these small columns inside the Cathedral. Using the local marble was an amazing idea and design feature, I think.
A short walk from the large Kylemore Abbey is the Gothic cathedral. Hopefully you get a sense of just how remarkable the place is considering the remoteness of the location and the terrain.
