Fall Images.
During my time in Portland I was able to capture the transition to Fall.

Fall Colors 2009

A view of some of the streets I walk while in Portland.
Rocky Brook Creek
Film image scanned into PC. Just down from the falls, a view of the creek.
Duckabush River Estuary
Shot with Minolta X-700 and scanned into PC. This is the marshland adjacent to the mouth of the Duckabush River on Hood Canal in Washington State.
Falls
Rocky Brook Falls near Brinnon, Wa.
From Film Archive

Some film images I scanned a couple of years ago. Shot on my Minolta X-700 I believe at the conservatory in Volunteer Park, Seattle.
More from Lincoln Park

The fern looked like it was dying, which seems unlikely considering the climate we have here in the NW.
Fall at Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park, a city park, is only about 1.5 miles from our home. Most of the trees in the park are evergreens, however there are a few small groves of deciduous trees that really add some color to the park this time of year.

From my Garden

A look at the squash I grew this past summer. The largest squash weighed in at 8 lbs. We gave a few away to family, saved a few for us and the balance I took to the local food bank. Next year I won’t plant as many squash as I did this year. Quite a bounty and fun to watch grow.
Turtles

Turtles at Green Lake. A few years ago I recall seeing maybe 5 or 6 turtles residing on the lake. This day I counted over a dozen, including many youngsters. Must be a good habitat for the turtles to live and even thrive in. Very exciting.
