Tree and Stairs
Twisted maple tree and stairs leading down from Alameda Street in NE Portland.
Yakima River Footbridge
Not for the faint of stomach, this cable suspension footbridge sways and bounces with each step. Fly fishing is very popular on the Yakima River.
Thursday Flowers
Similar color tones today. The lighter-colored flower was shot in the Yakima River Valley Canyon.
Feathery Visitor
On a more positive note, I had a curious visitor while I was shooting on the shore of the Duwamish River.
Duwamish Waterway
Switching locations. A stark reminder that this river is still suffering from pollutants, probably from industrial discharges.
Mt. Rainier
Coming back over the Cascades to return to Western Washington, this view of Mt. Rainier shot using the Minolta X700.
Jagged Peaks and Dead Tree
There are some pretty steep, jagged peaks that the highway winds through in the North Cascades. I think this tree may have been hit by lightning.
