Market

On January 2, 2010 By Fred KingIn Pike Place MarketLeave a comment

We were walking through the Pike Place Market this morning and I was reminded of the images I had shot early one Spring morning. Something to brighten the dull shades of Winter.

Rose with Frost

On December 14, 2009December 14, 2009 By Fred KingIn backyard, blossoms, roseLeave a comment
We had a cold streak last week with temps down in the upper teens. There was one blossom left on a rosebush in our garden and I noticed the frost clinging to the pedals.

The fern looked like it was dying, which seems unlikely considering the climate we have here in the NW.

Monarda ‘Jacob Cline’

Interesting flower just blooming in one of our planter boxes. When I bought the seeds I didn’t notice how tall it would get when mature. Seems like it is at least three feet high right now.Flower in planter box

About Me

Currently 73 years old, cancer survivor  living in Seattle, WA. Enjoy both photography and music.

Update: 6 Sept 2023: Cancer has returned. Probably will start directed radiation treatment at the end of October.

Update: 24 Sept 2024: After two 15 round sessions of SBRT I am now undergoing chemotherapy. After chemo, A PET scan will assess where I am. After the scan I will be minimally doing a year of immunotherapy -beginning November, 2024. Update: 8 March 2025-Finished 3rd immunotherapy ( Imfinzi- a checkpoint inhibitor) and fourth is on 11 March 2015. Another PET SCAN scheduled for 18 March 2025.

Update Sept. 2025: Scans from a couple of weeks ago look positive. However, Oncologist has changed the original plan from one year of immunotherapy to continuing “indefinitely”, as he feels, due to my history with cancer, that if stopped it would come back.
