I’m pretty sure I have posted this photo in the near past. I also included an 8X10 print of it in my current display, that is about to end this Friday. What I have been curious about is the pair of lower legs in the photo, behind the old phone booth. I am not sure if everyone saw and got what I was trying to do with this image: Walking in front of the Coney Island Museum of “Freaks”, etc. is this torso-less being. To me, it was a curious juxtaposition, caught at just the right millisecond. A second later or earlier and the whole body is seen and the statement is lost. No matter how long and hard one looks at this image we will never know the ‘owner’ of the torso that must be attached to the legs we see.

Fashion Shoot
Both still and video was used in this fashion shoot one morning in the new Brooklyn Bridge Park. A very scenic area and the weather was beautiful this morning. I thought it was time for a change of pace from the floral images and those of urban decay that I am so fond of.
My Niece’s Daughter
I rarely do portrait work of any kind. I just find it easier to work with inanimate objects. Having said that I thought I would share a photo I took a few years back. I have always thought that I had really captured a moment in time with this image of my niece’s daughter.

Portraits are my weakest attribute. I not only avoid them, but I lack the interest in shooting portraits versus still life, etc. However, I really like this image of my niece’s daughter, Cassidy. I must have been lucky at this moment in time. This image is a favorite of mine.
Looking towards the Future.
This morning I attended the funeral of a childhood acquaintance. In an attempt to move my thoughts, from the sadness of that loss to the future, I thought I would post this photo of our granddaughter, Madeleine. Viewing life from the perspective of a child, looking forward with great promise, helps shift my thoughts from the past/present to the future.
