One of my favorite houses in Portland. Located between Prescott and Alberta St. at 19th ( I think ). The detail on the house from the dental molding to all of the cornice and trim work is just wonderful. Even the chimney has some interesting detail to catch your attention. Last week I walked by the house and noticed that the owner had repainted with a different color scheme, which I am not sure I like as well as this one. I have been looking at this house for over 5 years and still have not mustered the courage to knock on the door and ask if I could look inside.

Rusty Building
Rusty, deserted building in Portland, Or. This image was taken from quite a distance with a 70-200mm lens, which is why the quality is not what I would have liked. Having said that, I still thought the colors of the building, as it is in this state of decay, were interesting.
Star E Rose
Image of a shelf or two inside the coffee shop on Alberta St. that I frequent, along with my grandchildren. It is an old Rexall Drugs Store converted into a small cafe that seems on the verge of collapse. The second floor has a few apartments, I believe. Thursday evenings there is live music to entertain or intrigue.
Lime Green
I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this trailer on Alberta St. Kind of reminds me of the lime-flavored Jarritos soft drink. Alberta St. seems to be the confluence of gentrification and quirkiness.
Skidmore St.
Looking west on Skidmore St. in the Sabin area of NE Portland, Or. Skidmore St. is a designated bike road. During commuting hours you are likely to see a range of cyclists on this street..
Catching the Morning Sun
Sparrow warming itself in the grasses at Tanner Springs Park.
Blue Bottles
Like the house on Beach Dr. on Alki Point in Seattle, this home owner in NE Portland seems to share the same taste in garden decor.
