If you look closely you can see the Kentile sign in the background.
What is left of the Green Lake Aqua Theatre. Most of the original structure has been demolished. It was a very unique piece of architecture and an interesting venue for a range of events, including rock concerts.
I remember being at this Led Zeppelin concert in May of 1969. The outdoor acoustics made for an amazing place to hear Jimmy Page’s guitar playing.
This Grateful Dead concert, Aug. 20th, 1969, was the very last concert at this venue. I was there listening till around 2AM when the electricity was shut off. The Dead arrived over an hour late (very commonplace for them). It was an odd night. Due to the city buses stopping service before 2AM I didn’t arrive home till hours later.
