This building, in NE Portland, is slated to be demolished soon. I looked in a window and could see that the interior, due to a leaky roof, has lots of black mold. The building is located in a residential area, but may at one time been a commercial venture. My guess would be that some developer will build a couple of houses on the lot. Keep you posted.
A bookstore in an alley and street musicians from 1970, San Francisco. This may be the last in this series unless I can dig up some 45 year old prints that could be hidden about our home or garage.
Derelict houses and outbuildings along the Green River. I’m not sure how or why the pallet got placed at the top of the dead tree below, but 25 feet up, there it is?
San Francisco, July 1970. The music venue Keystone Korner. Who remembers Boz Scaggs? How about Bennie Cecil and the Snakes? I think we may have to turn on the ‘Way Back Machine’.
Looking down Telegraph Hill towards the south. Photo taken in July, 1970. I thought it was really interesting that the sidewalks were actually sidewalk-steps, which made sense considering the grade of the hill. Also, the Bay Windows, I thought, were really neat architecturally. And, the cobblestone street (sometimes there was a layer of cement over the stones, but the cement never seemed to work well)-with all of its bumps, etc. Like stepping back farther in time than even 1970.
