Intent to Demolish

This building, in NE Portland, is slated to be demolished soon. I looked in a window and could see that the interior, due to a leaky roof, has lots of black mold. The building is located in a residential area, but may at one time been a commercial venture. My guess would be that some developer will build a couple of houses on the lot. Keep you posted.DSC_4638 - Version 2-001 DSC_4639-001 DSC_4642-001 DSC_4644-001

Color versions of previous images. With color you can see the tonal variations in the corrugated roof ( as well as the geometry of lines) and the shades of rust to the right of the doorway above. I like seeing the partial windows in the background; adds some sort of depth, but leads nowhere. Well, just some random thoughts. I rarely comment on the images I post. I would rather the images spoke for themselves, but today I felt like sharing my impressions:-).

More vegetation in odd places,, broken windows and signage. Apparently King County Solid Waste Management Division is the current owner. On my to-do list is to find a contact inside the organization to field some of my questions.

The abandoned Fisher Flour Mill on Harbor Island in Seattle. This time I went inside the compound ( I think it is called trespassing ) so will be posting some images caught during that visit.DSC_1270-001
