I was nearly arrested taking this image. A Port of Seattle cop saw me with my camera pointed at this highly sensitive device and wanted to know what I was doing and why. I tried to explain the artistic merits of the look of the call box and how that might translate into something interesting to view. He looked at me like I was from the Planet Zeon and asked me to move along. I don’t think he was interested in debating those ‘artistic merits’.
Brooklyn Rooftop
Taken from the rooftop of a Park Slope four story building looking west towards Manhattan ( which is totally not visible so I don’t know why I referred to it ).
Photo Display
Just a quick note to let everyone know that yesterday, with the help of family and staff, I hung 13 of my images at Luther’s Table Cafe in Renton, Wa. for viewing and sale. If you live in the Seattle Metro area and have some free time check out the good food, hospitality and photos!
Rusty Building
Rusty, deserted building in Portland, Or. This image was taken from quite a distance with a 70-200mm lens, which is why the quality is not what I would have liked. Having said that, I still thought the colors of the building, as it is in this state of decay, were interesting.
Saturday Fair
Mid-Town Manhattan on a Saturday afternoon. A fair or something has attracted this large number of people.
Lighthouse Sign
Sign on the side of the North Head Lighthouse in Long Beach, Washington. The lighthouse is located just north of the mouth of the Columbia River.
Notice
Some of my photos will be on display in a cafe in Renton, Wa., south of Seattle. The dates the display will run are: 4 Feb to 29 Feb 2012. I’m not sure any of my followers live nearby, but if you do, here is a link to the announcement:

Pig with Bling
Imagine 100 artistically designed ‘pigs’ placed around your core downtown area. Such was the case in Seattle a while back to celebrate the first 100 years of the Pike Place Market.
