Most of the leaves have fallen. Taken one block north of Alameda St. in NE Portland. Without the canopy of leaves the neighborhood looks very different.
A touch of the Mediterranean in Seattle. The fountain and palms were on the same property on Beach Drive near Alki Point.

In the Pacific Northwest we rely on artificial devices to remind us of what the sun may look like. This tree has such a lumpy trunk from pruning it looks like it has gone through a series of plastic surgeries.

I found this bark fascinating. Of course I couldn’t resist helping Mother Nature along by peeling off some of the bark myself.

More Autumn images from NE Portland.
Was really lucky to catch some of the trees and foliage in general in a state of transition that showed many colors.
During my time in Portland I was able to capture the transition to Fall.

Lincoln Park, a city park, is only about 1.5 miles from our home. Most of the trees in the park are evergreens, however there are a few small groves of deciduous trees that really add some color to the park this time of year.

Early Fall at Green Lake.
Green Lake has a really nice path for running/walking around the perimeter of the lake. The distance around the lake on this path is just under 3 miles.
Fall comes to Green Lake in Seattle. The lake is just a few moments drive north from the core business area of downtown Seattle. I took a walk around the lake today, a beautiful Fall afternoon and took many images. In the following days I will post some of the wonderful imagery I discovered.
