White tulip at dusk.

Pink is the color of the day. Vintage Clothing on Capital Hill & two-nearly blossoming tulips (revisited from a previous post).

Tulips to be. It has just been too cold this Spring. The tulips are about two weeks behind, in terms of when they usually bloom. I think this coming week will be the blossoming moment. These were shot in the Capital Hill area of Seattle today.

Water droplets.
Echo-like effect with a wildflower from our yard.

Blue flower, at dusk, growing in one of our cedar plant boxes.

Two more examples of plants from the conservatory. Cactus pedal seems to be carefully cradling a large droplet of water ( not put there by me ). The blue background foliage on the other plant seems to somehow carry over to the yellow leaf of the above plant.
Two small pools of water collected in the two blossoms.

Red seems to be the theme for this posting. The variety in nature amazes me. The different structural elements of each plant seem endless.

Garden spaces between these buildings seems a bit odd as they probably only get an hour of sunlight each day. Then again, this is Seattle where our sun exposure is measured in hours per year rather than days. I guess you plant shade plants that like their privacy.
Blues from a conservatory. The missing track from Miles Davis’s Kind of Blue?

Visited the Volunteer Park Conservatory, in Seattle, today. Was a cool, grey day so shooting indoors made sense. Some of the flowers are just starting to bloom. It seemed odd to see this beautiful flower, in bloom, behind bars. I understand the public can’t be trusted, but seems a shame. I’m sure I will be posting more images from my time in the conservatory.

Was nice to find evidence of Spring.
