I’m not sure of the year of this Buick. The ‘four hole’ Buicks are a rare find. Some came with a straight 8 engine, sixteen pistons/cylinders. Growing up we had both a “straight eight” Buick and a 1954 Buick Roadmaster, the car I learned to drive on. This Buick was spotted on Beach Drive in West Seattle.
The first ‘town’ you run into on the east side of the Cascades is Winthrop. The small town has a western them going complete with wooden boardwalks. Although in the old days I suspect it was a horse tethered to a post on main street rather than a high horsepower, four mag-wheeled hot rod.
Every time I walk by this Saab I wonder what sort of life it had. The car has not moved in at least 3 years that I have been walking by it in the Sabin District, Portland. The body seems to be made of parts from other cars. Rust, lichen and moss seem to be major visual components.
