Image of a shelf or two inside the coffee shop on Alberta St. that I frequent, along with my grandchildren. It is an old Rexall Drugs Store converted into a small cafe that seems on the verge of collapse. The second floor has a few apartments, I believe. Thursday evenings there is live music to entertain or intrigue.
I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this trailer on Alberta St. Kind of reminds me of the lime-flavored Jarritos soft drink. Alberta St. seems to be the confluence of gentrification and quirkiness.

Acme Glass, on Alberta St., closed last year after decades at this site. Major remodeling is going on now to accommodate a pizza place, called Chicago Pizza.
On a lot that originally had one house a developer constructed two of these ‘skinny houses’. The location is just one block north of Alberta St., NE Portland.
