Deserted Side Streets of Gowanus

When you see grass growing in places it normally wouldn’t, it is a good bet that nature is on the march, slowing taking back the property that once was used by people. Graffiti, rust and grass/weeds are benchmarks of abandonment, I think. DSC_7700-001DSC_7702-001

Beach House & Tenant

This building is probably only fit for reptiles and rodents. I would have liked to have gone inside, but it is fenced off. It’s always a good sign when you see foliage growing out of the sides of a structure.

Entropy

This first image looks a little like a fish. I thought I needed to take a few days off from the Gowanus Canal photos. Even I have limits on how much urban decay I can tolerate :-). I found this section of beach at Chambers Bay really fun to explore.

The Hangar Cafe

The Hangar Cafe, just across from the north side of Boeing ( King County Municipal Airport) Airfield is a converted house. The coffee is really good. I haven’t tried the food, yet.  They are only open for breakfast and lunch.
