My daughter’s neighbor, Carol, has a really pretty clematis vine that I wish I could grow. She explained her pruning technique to me last week, but I have had no luck with this type of clematis to date. They all die after I prune.PortlandClematis

My last clematis. All of the other clematis I planted in the last two years did not survive. This one almost didn’t make it through this Winter. It looks like it will have 6 blossoms. This is the first.
