Nature’s Shapes
I love the shape of this maple so much I re-shot it a couple of weeks back and thought I would post another view.
The shape and growth pattern of this tree is fascinating to view and speculate about.
Shoreline
A few views of the shoreline of Green Lake. Just enough light to get a little bit of reflection.

Tree and Stairs
Twisted maple tree and stairs leading down from Alameda Street in NE Portland.
Jagged Peaks and Dead Tree
There are some pretty steep, jagged peaks that the highway winds through in the North Cascades. I think this tree may have been hit by lightning.
After the Storm
In Prospect Park after the last Nor’Easter. Many broken limbs and downed trees.
Urban Bamboo
Planted on a parking strip in NE Portland. Two winters ago, during a snowstorm, this group of bamboo, loaded with ice and snow, were laying horizontal on the street. After the snow and ice melted they bounced back up as though nothing had happened.
Winter Street
A few weeks ago I posted photos of this street when the trees were full of foliage. Looks a bit barren now that Winter has come.
Sap
What appears to be sap coming from this gaping hole in a large tree. ?????
Ornaments
Spotted on Alameda St. in NE Portland.
