More vegetation in odd places,, broken windows and signage. Apparently King County Solid Waste Management Division is the current owner. On my to-do list is to find a contact inside the organization to field some of my questions.

Fisher Flour Mill (Con’t.)
Peeling paint, rusting pipes and just the odd rip rap left behind.

The floor boards were so spongy I had to walk on the planks. When I posted this image on Flickr I referred to it as a “creepy corridor”. 
Bovine
Just what every front yard needs, a life-sized, rusty bovine.
Deserted Side Streets of Gowanus
When you see grass growing in places it normally wouldn’t, it is a good bet that nature is on the march, slowing taking back the property that once was used by people. Graffiti, rust and grass/weeds are benchmarks of abandonment, I think. 
Monday Metalwork
These objects were spotted in front of what could be an artist’s studio/residence in Gowanus.
Beach House & Tenant
This building is probably only fit for reptiles and rodents. I would have liked to have gone inside, but it is fenced off. It’s always a good sign when you see foliage growing out of the sides of a structure. 
Vacancy
A vacant building near the Gowanus Canal (Brooklyn). 
Downtown Brooklyn in the distance in the lower image, which has the canal in the foreground. All of this area flooded during Sandy.

Rusty Building
Rusty, deserted building in Portland, Or. This image was taken from quite a distance with a 70-200mm lens, which is why the quality is not what I would have liked. Having said that, I still thought the colors of the building, as it is in this state of decay, were interesting.
Rusty Rebar
Spotted on a Puget Sound beach.
North of Pearl District
Across from Tanner Springs Park there is some old buildings from Portland’s past. Rust has taken over this particular building.
