On a Hot Day
Tubing down the Wenatchee River at Leavenworth, Wa. A refreshing activity on a 90 degree day, even for a dog.

Spotted today while walking around Greenlake in north Seattle.
Butterfly
Usually butterflies flit about so fast they can be difficult to shoot. This one was my third attempt this afternoon. I guess you have to run across a hungry butterfly to capture an image of one?
Tulips
Be forewarned, over the next few weeks I will be posting some of the tulip images I have taken ( I have plenty). The tulips seem to be peaking at this time so I have been shooting them around Seattle and Portland. My apologies in advance. I will mix things up with the other highlights of my photographic travels as well.

This image is one of the first taken with my new D7000. To take a break from the Georgetown postings I think I will post some of the first set of images taken with the D7000. Still getting acquainted with the camera, but so far it is a joy to work with.

A lone heron keeping an eye on the river. On these rare clear days there is a great reflective quality/interaction with the river.

Rhody’s seem to stay in this state for some time before they open up in June.
