At Portland’s original Rose Garden and Fountain, two of our grandchildren. Before moving to a larger plot of land, just west of downtown Portland, OR., the original Rose Garden was located in NE Portland, where this photo was taken. Dipping your feet in the fountain pool is a good idea when the temps have been hovering around 100!
Part II: Located in County Roscommon, Ireland, Strokestown Manor is also the location of the National Famine Museum in Ireland. Beautiful grounds and lots of history.
The first afternoon we were in Dublin we discovered this lane with both graffiti and old stone walls. The lane got a little sketchy towards the end where it meets the canal. Probably not a place I would venture after the dark, but it was interesting that this was my first view of Dublin.
Skagit Valley, approx. 70 miles north of Seattle, WA. This particular sequence was shot just east of LaConner, WA. looking northeast. That is Mt. Baker in the distance. The valley is mostly farmland for a variety of crops, including tulips. Tomorrow and perhaps for a couple of more days I am going to post some images of an abandoned farm I ran across while driving through the valley.
