Always fun to slow things down and see what water motion really looks like.

Morning Dew
I recently purchased a used Nikon 55mm F3.5 manual lens built in 1989 and have been experimenting a bit and am amazed at the range ( from macro to portrait ) and overall feeling of the color quality. The nice thing about Nikon is that many of those old manual lens’ fit right into the new digital cameras without the need of an adapter. Many of the images I have been posting lately have been shot with this lens.
Fall at Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park, a city park, is only about 1.5 miles from our home. Most of the trees in the park are evergreens, however there are a few small groves of deciduous trees that really add some color to the park this time of year.

Droplet
It seems like the water droplet actually magnifies what it is resting on. I’m sure there is some law of optical physics going on here. Maybe I am on to something? Well…..not likely.
Reflection

Drop of water on a leaf of the hosta plant on our deck yesterday morning.
Volunteer Park Conservatory, Pt.4

Two more examples of plants from the conservatory. Cactus pedal seems to be carefully cradling a large droplet of water ( not put there by me ). The blue background foliage on the other plant seems to somehow carry over to the yellow leaf of the above plant.
