Green-Wood Cemetery: Part 3

From modest to ornate, headstones of all ages and types can be found at Green-Wood. Early Dutch settlers to Wall Street Barons. The pond is really a nice feature. I’ve visited the cemetery three times and have probably only covered 30% of the site.

Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn

Many crypts are built into hillsides, the architecture of the entranceway is Gothic and very detailed; it seems to change colors with the changing light of day. From a distance it almost has a Disneyland-esque sensibility. Many of the wealthiest of New York are buried here as well as historical figures.

Vespa Spotted

In my walks around the five boroughs of NYC I always stop when I see a Vespa. I shoot them in all colors, ages and degrees of wear/damage. Brownstones and Vespa’s seem to go together. Something about the timelessness of the design, perhaps?DSC_7804-001DSC_7809-001
