Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn
If a cemetery can be a destination place to visit, then Green-Wood should be on everyone’s list. Many crypts are built into hillsides, the architecture of the entranceway is Gothic and very detailed; it seems to change colors with the changing light of day. From a distance it almost has a Disneyland-esque sensibility. Many of the wealthiest of New York are buried here as well as historical figures.
Walking Brooklyn Heights
Art Deco, pink fire escape and old stone sidewalks. One of my favorite places to walk in Brooklyn.

A Sunny Morning in the Lower East Side

Modernity, with people. I don’t recall the purpose of this building, but I’m not sure I care for the look. Maybe it does serve a function, other than looking like it is going to tip over?
Missing Window

Gentrification underway in Dumbo.

Early Designs
Early ideas for light bulbs. Seen at MOMA.

Vespa Spotted
In my walks around the five boroughs of NYC I always stop when I see a Vespa. I shoot them in all colors, ages and degrees of wear/damage. Brownstones and Vespa’s seem to go together. Something about the timelessness of the design, perhaps?
