I spotted this car at a rest stop on our drive from Seattle to Portland two weeks ago. The car was spotless inside and out. I talked with the owner and he said he takes it out on Sundays just to drive, with no destination in mind.
We left Marina early in the morning so we could stop and spend some time in Monterey as we made our way down the coast. It was around 9:00am and the center of town was abuzz with this auto auction. I think the ‘RM’ is the same person/company that has an auto auction show in TV. We stopped in a coffee shop and it was filled with high rollers ( as I would define them ) who probably own or collect the various rare cars in the auction.
Something I haven’t seen in a long time, a VW Karmann Ghia. Not sure what year this one is, probably late 60’s. Working-persons Porsche? This one spotted on Capital Hill in Seattle. Missing an eye lid.
