I haven’t had much luck with clematis. I think I am one for six. The plant seems so delicate. I have tried to micro-nurture the plants I have had and in return they die. Maybe clematis is stronger than I think and if I just leave it alone it will do fine? I have one last plant still alive so I will test out this theory.
Since it is Spring I guess I am splurging on flowers in various phases and colors. I love the shades that nature produces, even just within one flower.

Last week I sort of obsessed on tulips. I shot them during a morning walk with my granddaughter as well as in the evening while walking alone. This was taken at sunset in Portland, as was the previous post.

Sky full of cherry blossoms on Capital Hill, Seattle. I was on Capital Hill getting my haircut Saturday and spent an hour or so walking around afterwards. It was a pleasant morning with lots of people out walking dogs, jogging and just emerging from a long Winter. I have quite a few images of this walk to share in the near future.
Tulips to be. It has just been too cold this Spring. The tulips are about two weeks behind, in terms of when they usually bloom. I think this coming week will be the blossoming moment. These were shot in the Capital Hill area of Seattle today.

Two more examples of plants from the conservatory. Cactus pedal seems to be carefully cradling a large droplet of water ( not put there by me ). The blue background foliage on the other plant seems to somehow carry over to the yellow leaf of the above plant.
Heart-shaped buds on a plant in the Conservatory. Dr. Strangelove might see them as bombs or bomblets? I’ve recently found out that this is a Bleeding Heart plant.

Red seems to be the theme for this posting. The variety in nature amazes me. The different structural elements of each plant seem endless.
