Today, Bluestar2012 reached the 5,000 hits mark! When I started this blog I had no idea where it was going to go or if it would garner more than a passing look by a few curious people. I am very pleased with the attention it has received as I slowly carve out an identity for the blog.
Thanks to all of you who have passed by and made this milestone happen!!
A link to the King County Department of Transportation that has posted 13 of my images regarding the demo ( and future replacement ) of the 14th St. Bridge, in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle.
Extracto Coffeehouse, in NE Portland. They have added a second location on Prescott St. that specializes in drip coffee by the cup. You can choose your coffee bean, watch them grind and go through the whole drip process. I had an Ethiopian blend that was very smooth. The photo above is from their Killingsworth location and is a mocha latte, my weakness.
Marine traffic along the Duwamish. In the background is the very old Boeing Plant II. Used to be the Sheet Metal Shop until that moved to Auburn many years ago. I have a feeling the buildings are empty as Boeing and the City of Seattle have come to some agreement as to what to do with the land and how to deal with the environmental issues. A lot of history in this Plant. Boeing’s footprint in the NW Region is getting smaller and smaller as the company continues to outsource.
