As this photoblog nears its ten year anniversary I’m taking this opportunity to say that I will be taking a bit of a break due to a recent diagnosis of adenocarcinoma.
As I type this post (from my phone) I’m currently in the hospital being treated for a collapsed left lung. This is a complication due to the needle biopsy I had last Thursday.
In a very short time my life has gone sideways. I’m not sure how much energy or time I will have in the near future to create new work. Time will tell. I really haven’t had the time to digest this diagnosis with all of the additional imaging and testing and now this lung collapse that has landed me in the hospital. With surgery and other treatment options in the future it seemed prudent to say something rather than nothing.
I’ve had a good run and my hope is that this photoblog will continue after a short hiatus.
I do have some photos from our Scotland trip in August that are close to being ready, so maybe I will post some of those from time to time.
My best to all who have dropped by to check out my work over the past ten years!
Fred
Take good care.
Wishing you all the best for a problem-free recovery.
