    1. Kind of hard to hold and focus a camera with a french fry in your mouth. Actually I used a small, 24-70mm, telephoto with both camera and lens set at Manual. Seagulls move fairly fast, faster than most cameras can autofocus. The method ( I shouldn’t reveal) I use is- to pre-focus the lens for a certain distance after spot metering for light, when a gull flies into the range I have set, I push the shutter button and hope for the best.

      1. I take a similar approach to Street Photography. Find a spot where light, people and architecture converge and wait for the shot to cone to me.
        This is directly opposite of what most instructors of photography teach.
        Well, I guess I’ve given away two of my secrets tonight. Time to retire😉.
