Update: 6 Sept 2023: Cancer has returned. Probably will start directed radiation treatment at the end of October.
Update: 24 Sept 2024: After two 15 round sessions of SBRT I am now undergoing chemotherapy. After chemo, A PET scan will assess where I am. After the scan I will be minimally doing a year of immunotherapy -beginning November, 2024. Update: 8 March 2025-Finished 3rd immunotherapy ( Imfinzi- a checkpoint inhibitor) and fourth is on 11 March 2015. Another PET SCAN scheduled for 18 March 2025.
Update Sept. 2025: Scans from a couple of weeks ago look positive. However, Oncologist has changed the original plan from one year of immunotherapy to continuing “indefinitely”, as he feels, due to my history with cancer, that if stopped it would come back.

You’re back! Did you get out of New York in time?

I did get out in time. It has been difficult watching videos and still images of all of the carnage that is in places where I just walked a couple of weeks ago. Very disturbing.

Thank God you are OK. Don’t feel guilty that you got away and others didn’t; you were delivered so that you would be able to pray for others who need our prayers.

Thanks for your kind words and wisdom. A couple of times in my life I have felt ‘survivors guilt’. It is an odd thing.
