a bridge not yet 100 years old, remember the bridge in Bath, several hundred years old? Could we make one to last that long?

The river slips past parks, airports, neighborhoods, manufacturing plants, parking lots… It slips under bridges that carry arterials, foot bridges, parking lot bridges, down to this old bridge which connected the working world of Boeing Plant 2 with the neighborhoods that held the workers of the mulitple buildings. The foundations are shifting in the mud, they say. A result of the earthquakes that shake the sands deposited by an eon of tides, and the mud that covers them from millenia of spring runoffs. The supports are twisting, the bridge could come down. Come down outside of human control.
