A couple of weeks ago, early in the morning, I walked behind my wife’s car and just pulled a leaf off of her rear bumper as I passed by. I then stopped, because the leaf did not come off as easily as I thought it should. I pulled it slowly off the rest of the way and realized I was looking at an icy imprint of the leaf. I went into our house and grabbed my camera before the ice turned to water and was able to capture a few images I will be sharing, like this one.

Drops Fall Lincoln Park, a city park, is only about 1.5 miles from our home. Most of the trees in the park are evergreens, however there are a few small groves of deciduous trees that really add some color to the park this time of year.

Spotted in Portland. I think there are two varieties of Smoketrees in the US. Interesting tree. I actually walked past this small tree, stopped and turned around to walk back and take a look. It was like it took my mind a few seconds to register what I saw. Leaf

Volunteer Park Conservatory, Pt.4

Two more examples of plants from the conservatory. Cactus pedal seems to be carefully cradling a large droplet of water ( not put there by me ). The blue background foliage on the other plant seems to somehow carry over to the yellow leaf of the above plant.
