Gowanus, Brooklyn
One of my favorite places to shoot in Brooklyn. A very gritty place by day, at night it becomes something else.

I wasn’t on the calendar, but got a call to see if I was interested in doing a show next month. The above link is the Event I posted on Facebook today. This will probably be the only show I do in the next two years. I want to do this show a little differently than in the past, but need to talk with the owner of the venue for his input. Will update on the blog as things solidify.

At Portland’s original Rose Garden and Fountain, two of our grandchildren. Before moving to a larger plot of land, just west of downtown Portland, OR., the original Rose Garden was located in NE Portland, where this photo was taken. Dipping your feet in the fountain pool is a good idea when the temps have been hovering around 100!

Thought I would post a short piece of music from our sons latest recording. You can listen to more at this link.
2014 in review Bluestar2012’s Blog. Thanks to all Followers and Visitors
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,200 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 53 trips to carry that many people.
Music Video, for a change of pace.
Will try posting from the road this next week in Portland. In the meantime, a song/video from a UK band that I like and have seen perform. Their use of two different time signatures in this song is amazing.
Best to all,
Bluestar2012.
Line and Circle
I have been going to CMJ events in the LES the past three days. CMJ in NY is like SXSW on steroids. The afternoon shows are free and on the LES there are 4 venues within a few blocks of each other, so on the rainy afternoons this week I have been seeing and hearing all sorts of great music. The band in the photo, Line and Circle, was playing downstairs at Pianos, on Ludlow St.
I fly home to Seattle tomorrow, then Monday I drive down to Portland for 5-6 days. After that I will start working on the images from my time in Brooklyn/NY.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I will be displaying some of my recent work at Capitol Hill Hair during the month of Sept. I will actually be hanging the show on the afternoon of Sept. 5th, so from the 6th forward, during business hours, it will be there to see. Best times are between noon and 6pm during business days ( closed Sunday and Mondays). The shop # is: 206-325-2700 in the event you want to verify the shop is open on a particular day and hour. I have put the address in the ‘location’ window of this post, but here it is also: 514 19th Ave. East, Suite C, Seattle, Wa.
