Even Cowgirls…….

Cowgirls Espresso, just around the corner from The Hangar Cafe. The yellow sign posted on the right side of the building warns customers not to use a camera or video equipment. My guess is that the customers are drawn to Cowgirls Espresso for the unusual and kitschy architecture, but I could be wrong.

The Hangar Cafe

The Hangar Cafe, just across from the north side of Boeing ( King County Municipal Airport) Airfield is a converted house. The coffee is really good. I haven’t tried the food, yet.  They are only open for breakfast and lunch.

Rexall Drugstore

Painting of the old Rexall Drugstore on the corner of Alberta St and 24th NE in Portland. The space is now occupied by the Star E Rose Cafe on the first floor and I think apartments on the 2nd floor.

Light Rail Station

Vivace
Vivace
The building which housed Vivace Coffee in Seattle for many years. They have moved up Broadway to a new location. This building looks like it may be razed to make room for the new light rail station.

Preparation for light rail station.
Preparation for light rail station.

Although the new light rail will be underground on Capital Hill there needs to be a station so many buildings are coming down. This building was just across the street from the Vivace Building north of Cal Anderson Park.

The Albina Press

Barista Art

This mocha latte was drawn at The Albina Press in Portland, Oregon recently. A great place to escape the furious pace of the world and write or just sit and listen to the music. Over the years I have been to scores of coffee shops and I would probably put The Albina Press on my top 10 list.
