From the Staten Island Ferry
Looking back at lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge from the Staten Island Ferry. There was quite a crowd of people standing on the aft end of the ferry taking pictures. I thought I had a good spot to shoot from, but was soon overrun by camera-clutching tourists pushing me around as everyone jockeyed around for that ‘perfect spot’. A bit crazy, but riding the ferry is a good way to see lower Manhattan and the east channel, downtown Brooklyn, etc.
Downtown New Haven
Sculpture, a ‘golden’ looking building as the sun strikes the glass and lastly the Federal Courthouse in downtown New Haven, Ct.
New Haven, Ct.
New Haven Green, along with an image of a example of a ‘four-square’ home. Yale campus building.
Fire Patrol
Fire Patrol #2 Building in Greenwich Village.
Two Musical Destinations
The Blue Note and The Bitter End are two of the most famous clubs in New York.
A sunny Fall Day.
The American Museum of Natural History on Central Park West. Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, I believe.
Park Slope
I recently took a second look at the photos I had taken in Oct. of 2007, during a trip I took to New York and Ct. Sometimes walking away from the work and getting a fresh look later helps, although two years may be too far of a walk away to get a fresh look. I originally posted very few photos from that trip. Now that I have had a second look I think I will, from time to time, post some of those images.
