Skull and Bones

In reference to the previous post I thought I would post this image of the Skull and Bones Building in New Haven, Ct. In contrast to the Montauk Club Building this one is plain bordering on austere. As I walked along the sidewalk looking at as much of the building as I could I did find some nice purple berries so all was not lost. Creepy index was very high for me. I think this building was designed to hide something.

The Montauk Club

The Montauk Club in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I loved the look of the columns. The spindle-effect that you see on the corner column is amazing. I wish I knew the actual architectural names of all of the features found on this building.

John Kennedy and his brother, Robert, were members of the Montauk Club as were a few other presidents in the distant past. I guess this was a gathering place for the movers and shakers of those times in the past. Not sure what role the club plays today. Hopefully nothing sinister is going on here. I’ve walked around both the Skull and Bones building in New Haven, Ct. and this building and the Skull and Bones building is much more creepy feeling, if the ‘creepy’ index of a place can be an indicator.

Currently 74 years old, cancer survivor living in Seattle, WA. Enjoy both photography and music.

Update: 6 Sept 2023: Cancer has returned. Probably will start directed radiation treatment at the end of October.

Update: 24 Sept 2024: After two 15 round sessions of SBRT I am now undergoing chemotherapy. After chemo, A PET scan will assess where I am. After the scan I will be minimally doing a year of immunotherapy -beginning November, 2024. Update: 8 March 2025-Finished 3rd immunotherapy ( Imfinzi- a checkpoint inhibitor) and fourth is on 11 March 2015. Another PET SCAN scheduled for 18 March 2025.

Update Sept. 2025: Scans from a couple of weeks ago look positive. However, Oncologist has changed the original plan from one year of immunotherapy to continuing “indefinitely”, as he feels, due to my history with cancer, that if stopped it would come back.

Currently the Minolta X700 is retired, but I have some scanned images from the near past that I will be uploading from time to time. I've recently purchased some older cameras. I now have a Minolta Himatic 35mm film camera, a 50 year old Agfa 200 Sensor 35mm film camera and a Nikon J1 digital as well as a Pentax K-X digital camera.
